Muhammad Imam Hasan was born and brought up in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Imam is a child specialist physician working at Dhaka Shishu (Children’s) Hospital and a street photographer driven by passion. He is a Fujifilm X photographer and recently joined the faculty of Counter Foto
photography institution.

Imam started photography in 2013 like many of us do: By photographing his daughter. This led him to discover his deep interest in the art that eventually led to street photography. He completed a course in photography at Pathshala in 2013.

His work is a unique composite of complex layers, emotions and precious moments of the people.

His work has been featured in different national and international newspapers, magazines and social media feeds. Imam has been shortlisted for and won numerous national and international awards, including 1st place in single image category of StreetFoto 2017.

He is one of the founding members of Insight Collective.
