Mark Murrmann

Mark Murrmann

April 25, 2019

Mark Murrmann will be judging our Film and Street of San Francisco contests this year, and he’s particularly well-suited because he’s been making amazing photos of this town and its people from a long time – on film.

Mark specializes in documentary-style photography. Mark’s photos have appeared on dozens of record covers and in publications around the world. He has done commercial work for Jim Beam, Levi’s and Nikegridiron.com. He contributes regularly to Hamburger Eyes and curated the Maximum Rocknroll photo issue (and accompanying exhibit) in 2010. Mark is a contract photographer with ZUMA Press and an occasional photo instructor. He loves shooting bands and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty.

When not taking pictures, he works on the other side of the desk as Photo Editor at Mother Jones magazine.
